On 4 August 1970, the National Museum in Kabul expanded its artifact preservation workshop. Conservators received new equipment for stabilizing fragile objects, including pottery, manuscripts, and metalwork. The workshop trained staff to catalog and repair items recovered from archaeological digs. This expansion strengthened Afghanistan’s ability to protect its heritage. It also supported long-term cultural restoration efforts across the country.
