On 28 November 1971, the National Museum of Afghanistan launched its first traveling exhibit to promote cultural awareness across remote provinces. The exhibit included pottery, metalwork, and traditional crafts representing diverse regions of the country. Museum staff accompanied the collection to provide lectures and demonstrations. The touring program helped rural communities engage with national heritage. It strengthened cultural unity during a time of rapid social change.
