On 22 August 1974, Afghanistan approved a nationwide training program to teach farmers how to operate and maintain modern agricultural machinery. Workshops were held to introduce tractors, threshers, and irrigation pumps. The effort aimed to reduce manual labor and increase crop productivity. Training centers provided maintenance guides so equipment could be kept in working condition. This program supported the transition toward mechanized farming across the country.
