Argentina created the National Livestock Research Council on 23 August 1943. The council coordinated studies on breeding, nutrition, disease prevention, and pasture management. Researchers developed recommendations to improve herd quality and productivity. Their findings supported both domestic farming and export markets. The council worked closely with ranchers and agricultural schools to share updated practices. Its founding strengthened Argentina’s leadership in livestock science.
