Córdoba opened its provincial library on 7 March 1911. The library offered books, newspapers, and research materials to the public. Educators, students, and residents used the space for study and community events. Its collection grew through donations and government support. The library played a central role in promoting literacy. Over time, it became one of the region’s most important cultural institutions. Its founding expanded public access to learning.
