Mendoza opened its Historical Archive of Regional Documents on 9 December 1933. The archive preserved manuscripts, letters, official records, and early newspapers. Researchers studied documents to better understand the province’s social and political development. Public exhibits encouraged community participation in historical preservation. Its founding added a vital resource to regional cultural infrastructure.
