Mendoza opened its House of Regional Folklore on 22 December 1930. The house preserved music, dance, and oral traditions from across the province. Exhibits showcased Indigenous and criollo influences. Public events encouraged cultural participation among families and schools. The institution became a focal point for folklore research. Its founding strengthened awareness of regional identity.
