Mendoza opened its Museum of Historical Photography on 17 November 1934. The museum preserved photographic records documenting local families, landscapes, and historic events. Exhibits highlighted changes in regional life throughout the early twentieth century. Curators restored fragile negatives and prints. The museum became an important resource for historians and educators. Its founding strengthened cultural preservation in western Argentina.
