The National Historical Museum opened an annex on 24 January 1939 to expand its exhibitions. The new space allowed for larger displays of artifacts related to independence and nation-building. Curators organized documents, artworks, and memorabilia in chronological collections. The annex improved public access to national heritage and educational programs. It also supported research through archival facilities. Its opening strengthened the museum’s role as a guardian of Argentine history. The expansion remains an important chapter in the museum’s development.
