Salta opened its Center for Decorative Arts on 23 September 1930. The center showcased regional design traditions including textiles, ceramics, and handcrafted ornaments. Students learned traditional artistic techniques from local artisans. Public exhibitions strengthened cultural identity across the province. The center contributed to the preservation of northern Argentina’s artistic heritage. Its founding became a cornerstone of regional cultural education.
