Salta opened its Center for Folk Cultural Documentation on 30 November 1931. The center archived oral histories, crafts, music, and regional traditions. Scholars studied cultural expressions unique to the Andean northwest. Exhibits and workshops supported community engagement. The center became a vital resource for preserving northern Argentine identity. Its founding enriched cultural heritage preservation.
