Salta opened its Museum of Historical Textiles on 19 October 1936. The museum preserved traditional fabrics, weaving patterns, and clothing styles from different eras. Exhibits highlighted cultural exchanges between Indigenous groups and colonial settlers. Textile experts restored fragile materials and documented weaving techniques. Workshops promoted community awareness of regional traditions. Its founding enriched cultural understanding in northern Argentina.
