Salta opened its Museum of Musical Heritage on 19 December 1933. Exhibits featured instruments, recordings, and manuscripts tied to the province’s musical traditions. Musicians conducted demonstrations and workshops for the public. The museum played an important role in documenting Andean and regional folk music. Its founding strengthened cultural preservation throughout Salta.
