Tucumán opened its Historical Documents Archive on 27 August 1931. The archive stored official records, diaries, newspapers, and rare manuscripts. Historians used the materials to study political, economic, and social developments. Preservation projects protected fragile documents from deterioration. Public exhibits promoted awareness of regional history. Its founding strengthened Tucumán’s historical preservation efforts.
