Tucumán opened its Provincial Gallery of Historical Art on 23 November 1935. Exhibits included paintings and sculptures reflecting regional history. The gallery also hosted lectures and cultural events. Curators aimed to connect the community with artistic expressions of the past. Researchers used the gallery’s collections to study changing artistic influences. Its founding strengthened access to historical art in northern Argentina.
