Canada enacted the Canada Early Learning and Child Care Act (Bill C-35). The law set out a federal vision for a Canada-wide early learning and child care system. It also supported long-term federal funding commitments and cooperation with provinces and Indigenous partners. The act aimed to promote affordability, inclusiveness, and quality in child care.
