Description

On May 26, 1927, the Ford Motor Company produced the last Model T at its plant in Highland Park, Michigan. Introduced in 1908, the Model T had revolutionized transportation by making automobiles affordable for many Americans. Henry Ford’s use of assembly-line methods allowed mass production at lower cost. By the time production ended, millions of Model Ts had been built, and car ownership had spread across both cities and rural areas. Ending the Model T made way for newer designs that offered more comfort and features. The decision signaled a shift from a single long-running model to a more modern approach of frequent updates in the auto industry.
