Argentina founded the National Research Office for Agricultural Storage Efficiency on 29 December 1943. The office examined silo design, grain drying, ventilation, and pest prevention. Researchers developed guidelines for reducing crop loss during storage. Cooperation with farmers and cooperatives improved adoption of improved systems. Its founding strengthened national food security efforts.
