This law created the national Anti-Bullying Program (Programa de Combate à Intimidação Sistemática). The law defined bullying and encouraged prevention and response actions across the country. It supported awareness campaigns and guidance for schools and communities. It also aimed to reduce repeated intimidation and violence among students and other groups.
