Mário Jorge Lobo Zagallo was born on 9 August 1931 in Brazil and would go on to become one of the country’s most legendary figures in football. As a player, he won the FIFA World Cup in 1958 and 1962 with the Brazilian national team. Later, he became a coach and led Brazil to another World Cup victory in 1970, making him one of the few individuals to win the tournament both as a player and a coach.
