Brazil enacted Law No. 13,874, known as the Lei da Liberdade Econômica (Economic Freedom Law). The law instituted a “Declaration of Rights of Economic Freedom” and introduced measures aimed at reducing bureaucratic barriers and strengthening protections for free enterprise. It amended multiple major laws (including parts of the Civil Code and labor-related rules) to simplify and modernize the regulatory environment for business activity.
