Brazil enacted Law No. 14,074, which reorganized the federal executive branch to create the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovations (MCTI) and the Ministry of Communications. The law separated functions that had been combined under a single ministry structure. It also reassigned positions and internal structures to support the new ministerial setup. This change affected how Brazil manages national policy in science and technology on one side, and communications policy on the other.
