On July 8, 1932, naval movements were carried out in support of the Constitutionalist Revolution against the Vargas government. São Paulo–aligned forces attempted to strengthen their strategic position through maritime deployments. These actions demonstrated the scale and organization of the rebellion beyond land-based fighting. Control of supply routes and coastal access was considered crucial to sustaining the revolt. Despite these efforts, federal forces maintained overall superiority. The naval operations failed to alter the outcome of the conflict.
