Law No. 1,283, which created federal rules for the industrial and sanitary inspection of products of animal origin. It set a legal basis for inspection to protect public health and food safety. The law supported government oversight of slaughterhouses and processing of meat, milk, and similar products. It also helped standardize inspection requirements across the country.
