Cristiano Zanin took office as a Justice of Brazil’s Supreme Federal Court (STF) in a formal swearing-in session held in the Court’s plenary in Brasília. The STF reported that the ceremony was conducted as a solemn session and that, with Zanin’s installation, the Court returned to its full complement of 11 justices. Zanin assumed the seat left vacant by Justice Ricardo Lewandowski, who had retired earlier in 2023.
