Brazil enacted Complementary Law No. 197, extending deadlines for states and municipalities. This is to carry out transfers and reprogramming of health fund balances under earlier rules. It allowed these actions to apply through the end of 2023, as stated in the law. The law also directed part of these transferred resources to help sustain nonprofit entities that support SUS services, up to a set limit. It required transparency measures about which entities receive support and how funds are used.
